W E L C O M E A L L DA N C E R S ! ! ! !
I would like to welcome all Lawson Dancers to the 2009-10 Dance School Year.
Over the next couple weeks, we will be adjusting students into their appropriate class times according to their ages and abilities. Currently, some of the classes are rather large and I am working to scale down the number of students per class, while trying to appease the parents’ schedules. Please bear with me. If any of the children are in need of new shoes, please let me know ASAP and I will personally fit the kids for their shoes. Shoes need to be paid for in advance and I can usually receive them in about two days.
Monthly fees are due the first class of the month. If the monthly fee is paid later than the first week, a late fee of $5.00 will be assessed. If your child is absent the first class of the month, you can avoid the late fee by mailing in your payment. If I have to cancel a class due to weather, I will schedule a make-up class. Just because school is cancelled that day doesn’t mean I’ve cancelled classes, as usually by evening the roads are cleared. If a storm hits late afternoon, please call ahead if you are unsure of closings due to weather, and I will place a recording on the studio phone. Please keep your contact information updated in case we need to contact you (esp. cell phones!).
September is the only month that will be prorated. If your child must miss a class, a make-up class will be offered to you and the full monthly payment is still due. I do not offer credit for classes not attended. Some months your child will receive 5 classes for the month. I do not charge extra for these classes. I am a small business owner and cannot afford to accept fees for only the classes parents/students choose to attend. In order to continue offering classes at such minimal prices, I must adhere to these payment arrangements. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
The costume books are in for the 2009-10 season and I will be posting my recital costume choices around Thanksgiving. Costumes need to be paid for, in full, preferably before Christmas Break. I have to order them the week after New Year’s. I am currently looking into some fundraising opportunities for any students wanting to raise money for their recital costumes. Never mandatory though! Professional pictures will be taken in March/April and the Year End Recital will be held at end of April, 2010. Dues must be current to participate in any fundraisers or performances.
If you have any questions or concerns, contact me at the Studio 740-380-1033.
I look forward to a wonderful year and appreciate the opportunity you have given me of providing the gift of dance to your children.
